I just came home from Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! I have never seen that many tulips in my life! I did not know they had that many colors. This would've been a photographer's haven! Although it rained quite a bit, but still, I loved the place. I couldn't stop taking pictures.
We went to RoozenGaarde Display Garden. For the very cheap price of $4 as its entrance fee, you get to see first hand one of the most beautiful tulip gardens you'll see. Although the garden itself is not that big, but as you can see later on, the fields were huge and lined up with different colored tulips!
I know, stupid me I forgot to remove the timestamps for all the pictures I took.
Just think about what this would look like from aerial view. Must be beautiful.
The Tulip Festival only happens around April. So it was really nice that my Aunt brought this festival to my attention (and at the same time, I just got my work permit extended - woohoo!). So she drove me down to Washington, and then rest is history. Definitely won't forget this experience.
Now I'm thinking, is there anything like this in the Philippines? It would be nice to have a similar setup, for people to go look at rows and rows of flowers, and even setup a really nice garden. It'll also be a boost for tourism. First thing that comes to my mind is the Baguio flower festival. Haven't been there, but I don't know if it's something I can compare this one with. Could be. Maybe I should try attending the festival one of these days.
