Return date!

Woohoo, they have finally finalized my return date, and I am going back to Manila June 6, 2010! I can't wait! I've missed the Philippines. Though I'm not looking forward to what I heard was a very very very warm weather, but nothing beats being back home.

Looking back, I think I did pretty good this time around. I've spent more money, but I did, however enjoy my privacy, freedom, and I've been going to the gym more, and I've even finished a 6 week Christian Life Seminar! Who knew?

One more hurdle left - 2 huge releases this coming May. Hope everything will go smoothly.

Tulips, tulips and more tulips!

I just came home from Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! I have never seen that many tulips in my life! I did not know they had that many colors. This would've been a photographer's haven! Although it rained quite a bit, but still, I loved the place. I couldn't stop taking pictures.

We went to RoozenGaarde Display Garden. For the very cheap price of $4 as its entrance fee, you get to see first hand one of the most beautiful tulip gardens you'll see. Although the garden itself is not that big, but as you can see later on, the fields were huge and lined up with different colored tulips!

I know, stupid me I forgot to remove the timestamps for all the pictures I took.

Tulip Festival 067

Just think about what this would look like from aerial view. Must be beautiful.

The Tulip Festival only happens around April. So it was really nice that my Aunt brought this festival to my attention (and at the same time, I just got my work permit extended - woohoo!). So she drove me down to Washington, and then rest is history. Definitely won't forget this experience.

Now I'm thinking, is there anything like this in the Philippines? It would be nice to have a similar setup, for people to go look at rows and rows of flowers, and even setup a really nice garden. It'll also be a boost for tourism. First thing that comes to my mind is the Baguio flower festival. Haven't been there, but I don't know if it's something I can compare this one with. Could be. Maybe I should try attending the festival one of these days.

Snow and more snow at Cyrpress Mountain

Last Easter Sunday (1 week delayed post), my aunt brought me to Cypress mountain since we heard that there was fresh snow build up there from the past two days prior to that Sunday. This short trip made my day (or probably made my entire stay here in Vancouver this year well worth it!). I just did sightseeing, so no winter activity for me, but I wish I could! I just didn't have the correct attire and you'd have to rent these, that, etc etc. But sightseeing for me is sooo worth it already, especially from someone who lives in a tropical country? We don't see this at all in the Philippines. And fresh snow was beautiful. Truly beautiful.

Here's a nice view from the parking lot! Can you believe it? And there are people who go down those slopes!

Here I am in the lower parts of the mountain where you can do beginners lessons in skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, or even just play around.

More ski slopes! Here's where you'll find the skiers, snowboarders.

Snow is really beautiful! I'm very blessed to have finally seen the real deal!
