tasj talk

It was nice to finally get a chance to talk to Tasj yesterday. Madami dami din kaming napagkwentuhan at napagusapan. Interesting how we just share so much in common. Leda, when Tasj comes back for a vacation (December perhaps?), I think we three have a lot to talk and laugh about by then! :)

Btw, reupdated my LJ post. Only to my close friends. :)

New Tool: Synergy

An office mate recently introduced me to a pretty cool new lightweight tool called Synergy. Synergy allows one to be able to share keyboard and mouse over multiple computers.

For example, I have an office laptop and another office desktop computer I use at work. Whenever I'm in the office, it would be nice to be able to switch from one computer to another without having to switch which mouse and keyboard I have to used. And synergy fixes that issue for me!

All we have to do is let one of these computer be setup as a Server, and then the other is the Client attempting to connect to the Server box. Easy. Works well too. I even tried to add another computer to the right of my server computer (which is my laptop) and it worked. That time I had three computers sharing mouse and keyboard altogether.

Not a bad tool. Considering it's even free!

vacation!

I had a chance to talk to my team lead here and my manager from Canada about my current situation. Nothing specific, but it's more of just the state of mind I have right now (very distracted). And I asked for a 1-2 week vacation just to clear my mind, relax more. And with no hesitations, they allowed me to go. I was thinking first week of July, but they said better to start next week. Can you believe that? And here my manager asks if I had enough leaves and banked time, to make sure I don't go on vacation unpaid. What a boss! And tells me that we'll touch base a week into my vacation, and if I need another week or so, let him know.

Now how can you even leave if you have people like that who care so much about your personal well being?

eat pray love quote

When you are standing in that forest of sorrow, you cannot imagine that you could ever find your way to a better place. But if someone can assure you that they themselves have stood in that same place, and now have moved on, sometimes this will bring hope.

i remember a funny story

Thanks Vicky for reminding me of this funny story way back!

I remember one time while I was waiting for the EX in Greenbelt, there's this one guy who sat beside me and struck a conversation with me. I remember he surprised me by guessing my age correctly (if you know me in person, you probably won't be able to guess my age). And then we were talking about what he's doing, etc. he was a good conversationalist after all. But here's where the fun begins. He tells me that "you have a boyfriend right now right?" Me - "Yes". And then he continous on with "Hindi kayo magkakatuluyan. He's not the one." Whoopsie doo, and then he continious on by explaining to me na nahula din niya iyon sa friend niya dati. And his friend thanked him na she didn't stay any longer with that guy.

So I was like... "ohhhh... really?"

And then the EX comes by. Gets angry because I was talking with some random stranger, who is telling me we're not meant to be!

Funny now that I remember that story. He may be right after all! Only it was 4 years later that it was true. hahahaha

stupidity

It comes to a certain point that you'd realize that things just won't work out. You try your best to give it a shot, but if the other party in the relationship doesn't want to, who are you to force yourself to do it? Magmumukha ka lang tanga. I think that's what I've been like the past days and weeks. Tanga Tanga Tanga.

What's annoying is that alam ko na ngang nagtatanga tangahan ako, pero affected na affected pa din ako. I can't get myself to do something about it. Ang daya talaga ng kapalaran. Ang hirap.

If you were the one left behind by a guy, who has apparently already moved on way before he dropped the bombed on me, it's hard. I hope he doesn't do the same to other people too. I'm seeing this totally different person now. Jerk.

After all, he can't keep his mouth shut, of all places, sa FB pa nagpopost ng stupid stuff. Kaya irritating. Can't he respect me enough to just shutup? Well at least he finally blocked me from viewing his wall. Good for him. Good for me. At least he can further trash talk me there. I on the other hand, finally deactivated FB. It's no longer healthy for me. He was the one who broke it off. He was the one who decided by himself, surprising me altogether. Unfair. I had no idea at all.

I'm angry at him. He made me look stupid, he made me feel lousy. Basically, he made my life seems wrong for the moment. But is it worth mag mukmok about it? Eh siya naman nag move on na eh. Hindi eh. Hindi talaga worth it. Unfortunately, I have to admit that I am an emotional mess right now and I need to go through this. Thanks goodness for friends!

I hope he realizes later on what he did was wrong and unfair. I hope he realizes later on that things just don't work out like that. Hindi nakakatuwang manloko ng tao. And that's exactly what he did to me. Niloko niya ako. Stupid me fell for it.

Moving On List

As part of my moving on and changing series, here's what I have done so far:

1. Start working out (even hired a Personal Trainer)!
2. Had a new haircut! (I love it!)
3. Updated my resume - sent out three applications today!

More things I'd like to do:
1. Clean my closet
2. Clear out everything related to that relationship
3. Start looking for some other activity to keep me busy

back to the gym

Went back to the gym earlier.
Two straight hours with the trainer. I almost passed out when he let me do 20 repetitions of this weird exercise. Feels good after though. Today's lunch was the first time I had an appetite. I had no appetite for almost a week!

So I did sign up for the gym, and with a trainer. I'm really determined this time around!

road trip again!

Road trip with my best friend is always fun. Yesterday, we decided to go to Tagaytay to have a nice lunch. This is usually where we go to when we like to have some time just to chat and catch up on things.

Unfortunately, traffic was terrible where the skyway construction was. Took as an hour just to get past that short stretch of road. By Alabang though, traffic was clear. I just loooove driving in a long stretch of highway when there's no traffic at all. And then instead of exiting via Sta. Rosa, we exited on Greenfield City exit. There's a lot of nice development happening there. Hopefully they continue to maintain the greenery even if they build residential areas there. But what I particularly liked was the Nuvali development. Looks classy. And from what I read, the development will be giving high importance to nature. That should be nice. Not just focused on income by cutting off all trees and putting as much houses as possible.

Anyway, we did end up eating at Leslie's, which was jam packed as always. Food there is usually great but the problem is, we picked out the wrong food. Bulalo was good but not as soft as we wanted, and the crab meat was a bit too soft and mushy (crab wasn't fresh probably).

Now this is where the actual adventure begins. Turning left to go back to Manila, there was a huge traffic. So we decided to make a u-turn, and look for another way. Stella saw this small road that had a sign "to Sta. Rosa". No car was going in and out of that road but ok, we still pushed through. Lo and behold, took us around 40 minutes just to go through that long stretch of road. We were wondering all the time where this road was going to go! Don't get me wrong though, the ride was pretty good. No traffic, and we got to see a lot of farms (not farmlands - but actually farms where they had these huge tents or something).

And finally, we ended up somewhere in Dasmarinas Cavite!! Can't believe dun kami napunta! Then we attempted to find Daang Hari road from there. Took us forever to find it. And after a half tank of fuel wasted, we finally managed to get to SLEX and then took Skyway as we had to meet up with our friend at around 5 pm.

What a day! I was so sleepy and tired by night time, I almost hit the village gates. Not good at all!

team building activity

I had a wonderful time with my officemates yesterday! Awesome time. We planned a wall climbing team activity and then lunch at Italliani's right after work (in the morning!).

But the highlight was a pretty funny thing that happened right before we went to Market Market (we're coming from Discovery Ortigas Building). When I finally told my teammates a very interesting news... of course they were surprised, who wasn't anyway? And so, they became my official witnesses to the first thing I ever did in order to "close this huge chapter of my life".

At this point I'm pretty sure they had so many questions they wanted to ask me. And so, since we were leaving the office to go to Market, they had two options. Ride with me in my car, or ride with my other teammate who also brought a car. And guess what? These 4 friends of mine decided that riding my car with me will be better! Mga tsismosa at tsimoso! Funny thing is, they really stuck to their decision. I ended up having a fully loaded car (5 of us there) and Ronald, my other teammate, drove all alone to Market Market. LOL!! It was nice though, I learned a lot from them too. They never took side, they just told me that everything that happened, learn from it. That way, on the next relationship, you will be a better person altogether. Good point. Never thought about it that way.

Now in Market Market, as the Wall Climbing was going to open not until noon time, we decided to play Laser Xtreme first. And even though it was just 15 minutes short - it was a total body workout to say the least! And this game is just so much fun. I did end up having the lowest score though. Haha

But Wall Climbing was fun too. I was able to finish one wall, but was not able to finish the second wall - too angled already. I definitely need to go to the gym to build up my strength!!
