road trip again!

Road trip with my best friend is always fun. Yesterday, we decided to go to Tagaytay to have a nice lunch. This is usually where we go to when we like to have some time just to chat and catch up on things.

Unfortunately, traffic was terrible where the skyway construction was. Took as an hour just to get past that short stretch of road. By Alabang though, traffic was clear. I just loooove driving in a long stretch of highway when there's no traffic at all. And then instead of exiting via Sta. Rosa, we exited on Greenfield City exit. There's a lot of nice development happening there. Hopefully they continue to maintain the greenery even if they build residential areas there. But what I particularly liked was the Nuvali development. Looks classy. And from what I read, the development will be giving high importance to nature. That should be nice. Not just focused on income by cutting off all trees and putting as much houses as possible.

Anyway, we did end up eating at Leslie's, which was jam packed as always. Food there is usually great but the problem is, we picked out the wrong food. Bulalo was good but not as soft as we wanted, and the crab meat was a bit too soft and mushy (crab wasn't fresh probably).

Now this is where the actual adventure begins. Turning left to go back to Manila, there was a huge traffic. So we decided to make a u-turn, and look for another way. Stella saw this small road that had a sign "to Sta. Rosa". No car was going in and out of that road but ok, we still pushed through. Lo and behold, took us around 40 minutes just to go through that long stretch of road. We were wondering all the time where this road was going to go! Don't get me wrong though, the ride was pretty good. No traffic, and we got to see a lot of farms (not farmlands - but actually farms where they had these huge tents or something).

And finally, we ended up somewhere in Dasmarinas Cavite!! Can't believe dun kami napunta! Then we attempted to find Daang Hari road from there. Took us forever to find it. And after a half tank of fuel wasted, we finally managed to get to SLEX and then took Skyway as we had to meet up with our friend at around 5 pm.

What a day! I was so sleepy and tired by night time, I almost hit the village gates. Not good at all!
